Jesus was very clear about His identity. He first asked his disciples what people say He is rather than what He knows He is because He understood that the voice of society will always be louder than that of an individual. In essence, external assumptions affect the way people view the internal. To become an influencer, you need to know what people say about you.
Behind every failure and rejection is the failure to discover one's identity. Many people when under pressure tend to deny their identities. As such, your influence becomes affected because the image of your life has been switched. Therefore to be influential you also need to be clear about your identity.
